How to Enjoy Your Coffee and Skip the Jitters

I love coffee, but coffee does not always love me. The dark side of caffeine starts with jitters and anxiety, followed by an energy crash shortly after. 

Enter bulletproof coffee. 

By adding a few extra goodies to your morning coffee, you can:

  • Enjoy more balanced energy

  • Support your cognitive function (thinking clearly in the morning? Yes, please)

  • Stay fuller, longer

The not-so-secret ingredient is MCT oil, which comes from coconut oil. 

“MCT” stands for medium-chain triglycerides. MCT is a healthy type of fat that is both easily digestible and easily transported throughout the body. These qualities make MCT oil an excellent source of instant energy for the body. 

MCTs can convert to ketones, which can easily cross the blood-brain barrier, making them an ideal fuel source for the brain. 

Finally, adding healthy fats into our diets can help us feel satiated and prevents spikes in blood sugar. 

Bulletproof Coffee Instructions

In a heat-friendly blender, add:

  • 1 cup of coffee

  • A splash of almond milk (or milk of your choice)

  • 1 tbsp of MCT oil

  • 1 tbsp of collagen (optional)

Blend and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Get comfy and indulge in a frothy, smooth, and delicious coffee.
